The acquisition of major systems or products is a process of forming system operational requirements into a specification and defining economic conditions. In conjunction, a comprehensive documentation is created to cover all aspects from technical, economical and support requirements.
A part of the acquisition contractual documentation is the set of documents concerning the logistic support. This set is comprised of the Request for Proposal (RFP, Request for Quotation (RFQ), the Statement of Work (SOW), Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL), Data Item Definitions (DID) and the ILS/LSA Plan.
