Our office is located in Munich-Giesing, quite close to the "Mittlerer Ring (Süd), down by the river "Isar", not far from "Candidplatz". To get to us you take the subway U 1, direction "Mangfallplatz", station "Candidplatz".
Here our seminars take place, unless a hotel is chosen as location. Therefore, please mind the anouncements.
Worth knowing:
The "Candidplatz" is named after Pieter de Witte, also known as Pietro Candid (1548 - 1628). He was a painter, sculptor and drawer and was involved in the construction of the maximilian part of the residence under Herzog Wilhelm V. in 1568. He also created the altarpiece for Munich's Cathedral.
Leaving the "Candidplatz" walking downtown in the "Pilgersheimer Straße", named after the financier of the court "Anton von Pilgram", who built a small castle here in 1785.
The "Hans-Mielich-Straße" (parallel to "Pilgersheimer") is named after "Hans Mielich (Muelich)", a painter and drawer during the renaissance. He lived and worked in Munich from 1515 to 1573. In service of Herzog Albrecht V. and his wife Anna he painted the gems of Duchess Anna in watercolor (exposed in the "Kleinodienbuch"). He also painted portraits and miniatures, e.g. Orlando di Lasso, "Bußpsalmen".
Leaving the "Candidplatz" heading south, the "Schönstraße" leads to the zoo. Heinrich Schön, who died in 1640, was master builder at Munich's Court in 1591. He created parts of the "Michaelskirche" and in 1610 he built the west front of the Residence following plans of Pietro Candid.
